***COUNTDOWN....WHAT’S HAPPENING WHEN?***


FRIDAY 3rd June - Get ready


-Last chance to get your supporters’ wristbands at the Vicarage Garden from 11-2

-Decorate your house for the Best Dressed Home Competition (judging is Sat. am)

-Get baking for our competitions or charity cake stall

-Pack your picnic!



SATURDAY 4th June, MORNING - Final prep

-Join us from 9:30am at the Vicarage Garden Gate to help set up if you can - every little bit helps! 

-Move your car if needed - Burton Road b/w RPR and Acre; Gibbon Road b/w nos 79/76 & 58/59 to be cleared

-Streets available for children’s play from 10am

-Drop off your bakes for our competitions & charity cake stall donations by 10am at the Vicarage

-Gather your £1 coins for popcorn, sweets and cakes at the event

 

SATURDAY AFTERNOON - Party time!

1:00 PM

-Tables open for seating…check the table plan and bring your own chairs (the narrower, the better!)

-If you haven’t reserved a table, add yours to Gibbon Road (Acre Road end) after 1pm

-The BRaG Bar in the Vicarage Garden opens! All proceeds support charities 

-Exhibitions open in Swinnerton Hall (until 5pm)


1:30 PM

-Join David Hassard from Kingston Aviation for a fascinating 15 min talk in Swinnerton Hall


1:45 PM

-Entertainment starts on the main stage - 7 bands throughout the day!

2:00 PM

-Charity Raffle sales begin (until 4:45pm)

- Children’s activities kick off (2-5pm)

         -> Crown Decorating

         -> Face Painting

         -> Tattoo Parlour

         -> Jubilee Bunting Workshop

-Collect pre-ordered drinks from the bar in the Vicarage Garden

-Get your souvenir programme from the information tent


2:30 PM

-Join David Hassard from Kingston Aviation for a fascinating 15 min talk in Swinnerton Hall


3:00 PM

-Dress up time! Meet outside the main door of St Luke’s Church for the young people’s Right Royal Dress Up Fancy Dress Parade


3:45 PM

-Pirate Singing Workshop in St. Lukes’ Church (followed by a main stage performance at 4:30!)


4:45 - 5:30 PM

-Charity Auction


6:00 PM onwards

-Food vendors available in the Vicarage Garden


6:15 PM

-Charity Raffle



SATURDAY EVENING - Clean up…but the party continues!


8:30 PM

-All hands on deck for street clean up! The more help we have, the faster it’ll go. Bin bags provided - please take rubbish and recyclables home with you.


9 PM 

-After Party in the Vicarage Garden begins - Jubilee Disco with DJ Pony and Gold 


10:00 PM

-Streets reopen to traffic


11:00 PM

-After Party finishes - sleep well!
 


 

REMEMBER - this is a charity event. Please dig deep, donate, buy our drinks, cakes, snacks and sweets and above all have a great time!

Supporters’ Wristband Sales

Supporters' wristbands are our main source of revenue for this event - all of our profits go to the three BRaG charities this year.

£20 (table stocks are limited).

You will be advised of your table number by email but also check the seating plan here beforehand.


Whilst it’s great to have a table, it’s not essential, you can still come along without one. If you want to bring your own after 1pm you can, just add it to the ends of the lines (not nearest the stage).


We have no more tables on Burton Road. Still some availability on Gibbon Road.

Programmes can be collected from the information tent in the Vicarage garden or will be delivered to your table on the day.

Help Wanted! 

We are going to need your help on the day to make this work…see below for how you can contribute to make the day a success. Remember that BRaG are all volunteers, none of our members are being paid. If we all do a little bit, then it’s much easier. It won't take much of your time - we promise! Learn more here and send us an email if you can help.


Parking

We are going to try to clear the party area (Gibbon & Burton Roads) of cars and this may create a parking problem on the day. Whilst parking restrictions will be lifted for the day, we could do with a few more spaces. So - if you are going away and aren’t coming, please let us know if you are happy for someone to use your drive or/and park across it. This would be a great help and we can match you up with a neighbour that will use that offer for the day.

 

Food & Drink

It’s bring your own food for the afternoon. We do have some food suppliers from 6pm but there will be no food available on site before then except snacks and sweets. There is a fully stocked bar all day, however, so while you can BYOB, we will have draft Park Brewery beer on tap, Bone Idyll Gin and Pimms, Cocktails, soft drinks, and more. All bar proceeds go to our charities, so please do support us!

 

We will be using our familiar reusable BRaG 'boozer' cups - except this time in collaboration with Bone Idyll Spirits, who have really spiced up the design this year. They will be £2, but can be reused through the day and you won’t want to give these back! They are very special.


Binder will be selling her famous samosas to coincide with the street party and raise money for McMillan Cancer Charity. Pre-order only, by 5pm on Friday 3rd June, for pick up on Saturday before the party starts. Learn more here.


Entertainment / Activities

Seven live acts will perform on the main Alloway Stage, kicking off with street party favourites LPS and Friends. As the sun sets and Fox Palmer close our event, MC Tiddlz will be warming up in the Vicarage Garden for our first-ever ’Street Party After Party'.

We have been so lucky this year with external support and sponsorship:

Royal Borough of Kingston have stepped up with a grant to enable us to push forward with such a big event.

Bone Idyll will sponsor our souvenir reusable cups and also will be there on the day to provide our partygoers with their amazing gin served from their special pop up bar.

Gibson Lane once again have been amazing and we hope to see their boards on the street very soon.

Alloway Timber have supported us with some direct donations and also invaluable support with timber to repair the stage, now proudly renamed the Alloway Timber Stage. 

Kingston Physiotherapy have sponsored the wristbands that will be gracing all the best wrists in the next few weeks.


Nigel Spragg, proprietor of DM Spragg Ltd, Kings Road, has kindly offered to sponsor our event programme. With a crack team working on this now, we can promise that this will be worth getting!
