BRaG Pub Games 1st May

Wednesday, April 29, 2020

Continuing with the theme of alternating our Friday night activities with the quiz BRaG launches an experimental night of online games via our zoom platform on Friday 1st May. You will need to sign up to play using the link below. Kick off this Friday is at 6.30pm - details below.

BRaG Games night - 1st May

As usual our Zoom ID is 9119999191 and we don't anticipate using a PIN but if required then its 9191.

We will start at 6:30 with a few games of Pictionary hosted by Glen, open to everyone but please try to get your kids to play if possible, we will explore the functionality of the Zoom screen share and whiteboard.

Hopefully our younger members can show us how it works. This is just for fun so feel free to dip in and out as you wish.

From around 7pm and once everyone has had time to grab a drink, we hand over to Dave Hawkins who is going to start with a round of Catchphrase using Kahoot and then a couple of addtional quiz rounds of Fun with Flags and logos.

Be sure to have your second device handy for this and we will make sure the Kahoot PIN is given out by 7pm.

Once we have had another short drink break, David French takes over to run a round of Bingo. See below for getting a Bingo card.

Finally we will finish the evening with a horse race, a sweepstake that you will all be entered into, no need to place a bet, you'll be randomly allocated a horse and all you need to do is cheer it on. Winner takes all in this race. This is a tester for us to see whether a full online race night is possible.

We hope to finish around 8:30 or thereabouts, once again we will ask for your opinions on the night.

An experimental night of fun I'm sure you'll agree. It may not go perfectly so please bear with us of its not as slick as we would like but we are learning every week. Luckily the only constant is your capacity to participate, your generosity and ability to have fun, for which we are very grateful.

So what do you need to do.

Click the link to 'register' - this just lets us know you wish to play. We will then send you a message with the following information:

  • Your Bingo Card (only one per household this time)
  • Your horse number (the name/number list will be published just prior to the race)

That's it. Of course we are still doing this for charity so please donate if you can but there is no obligation to do so - it's for some great causes. Our residents have been incredibly generous and we appreciate both your generosity and your participation.

Looking forward to seeing you on Friday.
