Several local organisations will be supporting people during this difficult time. They will all be at full stretch, but some of their usual volunteers will be avoiding social contact. This information has been compiled by our MP Sarah Olney.

Several local organisations will be supporting people during this difficult time. They will all be at full stretch, but some of their usual volunteers will be avoiding social contact, thus adding to the pressure.

If you are fit and not vulnerable to the coronavirus then you might like to offer your help to one of them.

If you can't help in person, then do consider making a donation.

Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness (KCAH) is looking for donations of hand wash and sanitisers for care packages for their tenants who are self-isolating, and their website has more information about all the services they provide here: www.kcah.org.uk/can-you-help-us

Volunteering Kingston is working to create a coordinated volunteer programme. Please check volunteeringkingston.org.uk for more information and to contact them.

Kingston Carers' Network (KCN) supports over 3,000 adult and over 700 young carers in Kingston. You can find out how to volunteer here: www.kingstoncarers.org.uk/volunteering

BRaG is a local community organisation for Burton Road, Richmond Park Road and Gibbon Road in North Kingston, and they've set-up some support groups for residents on specific roads. Find out more here: bragstreet.org/news/article/brag-support-groups

Surbiton's Coronavirus Community Response Group (SCCRG) is a grassroots organisation which is providing community help during this outbreak. They can be called on 020 3868 2626 and have a Facebook group here: facebook.com/groups/surbitonccrg
